Shine

Jacob waited 7 years in patience to marry the love of His life Rachel, but because of Rachel's dad Laban, Jacob was married off to Leah in deception. Though he worked 7 years, he agreed to work for another 7 years to be married to Rachel.

A story of two sisters, Leah and Rachel unfolds. Leah was blessed with Children, but Rachel conceived after a long wait (Genesis 30: 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, "God has taken away my disgrace) and was blessed with a boy, whom she named Joseph.

Going through the story, it's clear How Jacob waited on God in patience and perseverance even though circumstances around him were not favorable to him. His eyes were on God for counsel in his daily affairs of life. It's obvious that he was betrayed by his father-in-law's mean tactics and was made to stay there for a total of 14 years. But God was on his side, from the very beginning.

Though the wrongdoings of Laban were greater towards Jacob, the Favor of God was much greater towards Jacob. As we read in Genesis 30, we see that Jacob kept increasing in all the areas of his life, where Laban came to a place where, he had to beg Jacob not to leave him, his place, and his people. "Genesis 30:27 But Laban said to him, "If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you."

Oh! Child of God People might be limiting your abilities. They may be belittling you, looking down on you. Some might be really not wanting to see you the way God wants them to see. This is what God says, See how He turned Jacob's situation from mourning to dancing. He is going to turn your situation from sadness to Gladness. From Dryness to Fruitfulness.

Do not be discouraged, Do not be disappointed. Joshua 1: 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

The Father who sent His only begotten son for your sake. Is on your side. He is going to Uplift you from your situations, circumstances. He is going to change the way people look, treat and behave with you. He is going to Promote you in all those departments you have been waiting on for promotion. He is Father of Jacob and He is your Father as well.

As long as your eyes are fixed on Jesus ( Hebrew 12: 2(a) fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith ). He is going to lift you up and make you shine in all those areas you have been looked down on. Now it's time for you to Shine. The season of dryness had come to end. Oh! you Child of God, Shine! for His light has come. Shine (Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light, has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.)
